Group Chat Week 6
This week, you took your first steps in the world of React - one of the most popular frontend frameworks that help us to make interactive applications.
As usual, we’ll go around in a circle, and you can talk about what’s been going on for the past week. In this circle’s exercises, we’ll be practicing all of this with some simple problems.
The person whose first name is second alphabetically should lead the discussion.
Week 6 Reflection | 20-30 minutes
Go through each member of the group, and answer the following questions:
-
What did you find the most challenging this week, or what did you not understand?
- Can anyone else in the circle give an explanation based on their own understanding?
- If not, make a message in the week-6 channel on the Discord, and Adam will answer it.
-
Did you start the homework already? How far did you get through it?
- If you already finished it, then show off your work! Did anyone complete their todo-list app?
Group Exercise | 20-25 minutes
Go through each of the following code snippets one-by-one. Give yourselves 2 minutes to take a look at it, see if you can crack the answer by yourself, and then compare your answer with the others!
- How do we include the Header component inside of the App component in this code?
- How would we rewrite this code so that we greet different people each time?
- Why doesn’t this code work to print the names of 10 users that we’re getting from a server to the screen?
- What lines do we need to add to this code so that clicking each of the buttons toggles the background color of the screen?
Attendance Form | 2 minutes
